Sheena has first class credentials as a fully qualified Dance Instructor and is regarded as one of the top belly dance teachers in the south and her extensive resume includes teaching a year at David Lloyd Leisure Club.

Sheena Hall, star of stage and screen is the first and only Belly Dancer worldwide to teach Oxyrobix. She has created and developed this exiting new Belly Dance Fusion to maximize fitness and skill the fun way.

Sheena combines her extraordinary dancing skills with a flair for teaching. She gets down to step by step instructions, demonstrates and explains exactly what she is doing and what it should look like. Combine this with a real passion for creativity on the dance floor and her bubbly personality, one can see why her classes are so popular.

What is Oxyrobix?

First a short word about the name: - OXY from the Greek meaning acid of life, ROBIX (robics) a modern construction for exercise. In addition the double X in the name signifies the unique chromosome that defines all females.

Belly Dancing is one of the oldest dance experiences in the world and even today physicians agree that belly dancing is the best exercises for women of all ages.

This genre is all about the isolation of muscles/body parts and how to use them separately. Including the astonishing choreography, Belly Dancers like Sheena are then able to give this mesmerizing performance we all love and admire.

Oxyrobix is a groundbreaking Fusion of cutting edge Belly Dance, taking the best bits from the many different Belly Dance Styles and incorporating free style and elements from other genres to maximize fitness and skill, but without too complicated choreography. Nevertheless you will get all the benefits which are associated with it and learn step by step how to belly dance the easy way. It is very versatile and will make you feel fantastic about yourself.
It's a revolutionary idea which simply uses the greatly beneficial steps and movements of dance to trim and firm Tummy, Hips, and Thighs.
Brilliant for getting new Mums back into shape. It is also highly recommended for pregnant women, but they must seek medical advice first.

In time it improves your posture, your movements become softer and your whole body more flexible. In conjunction with a sensible diet it aids weight loss and it does improve self-confidence tremendously if done regularly.

There are 3 opportunities to be on stage

1: Joining her amateur dance groups

2: Joining Sheena's personal background dancers (advanced skill required)

3: Dancing on stage a Solo or a Duo with a friend (depending on skill)

Occasionally, Sheena takes students to accompany her on gigs for hands on experience

What to wear:

You do not need a costume to start belly dancing, stretchy or loose clothing are ideal.

Just make sure you are comfortable.

You’ll be dancing barefoot - so no shoes, unless they are ballerinas.

Socks are not permitted, as they can cause injury.
